Avoid modern pre-mix ratios like 50:1, as they do not provide sufficient lubrication for vintage sleeve-bearing powerheads.

Ignition System Tuning: The standard OMC flywheel magneto setup in this model is reliable and easy to service. Common restoration tasks include replacing aged, cracked ignition coils and installing fresh breaker points and condensers. Set the ignition breaker point gap to 0.020 inches at peak cam lift and gap spark plugs to 0.030 inches.
